Library house plant sale and clipping swap.
Just when we think we can’t wait another moment to see growing things, Porter Memorial Library to the rescue with its 2nd Clipping Swap and House Plant Sale, to be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 12.
Do you have houseplants you can split and share? Please bring them to the library! Potted slips can be donated for sale, and clippings can be set out to exchange and share with your fellow indoor gardeners.

Down East Quilters Guild (affiliated with the state wide guild – Pine Tree Quilters) will be celebrating National Quilting Day at the Library. There will be sewing/quilting demonstrations and some quilts on display.
Come on in to find a new hobby and learn more about quilting.

Porter Memorial Library will hold an EASTER EGG HUNT inside the library at 92 Court Street in Machias. We have 2 divisions. Kids ages 3 to 6 start their hunt at 11 am. The 2nd division, for kids ages 7 to 10, starts at 11:30 am.
Starting line is the library front door, so gather outside, in front of the library, and listen carefully for the Easter Bunny’s instructions. Please try to bring your own basket or container to hold your egg collection. Call 255-3933 for more information.
WE NEED DONATIONS OF CANDY FOR THIS EVENT! Please bring Easter candy donations to the library by Friday, April 15.
